I remember Kim telling me about this when it happened... we cleaned up the night before so everything was clean and pretty. I just found it, thanks to Google. :D

Kim and Kellie made Shawn do it. :P It's pretty corny, but yaaaay, that's where I work! They talk about the paintings in the rooms at the end... there are a few rooms that haven't been painted yet, and I'm going to ask if I can do a couple of them. :D

Unfortunately, I have no money - or any source of income, for that matter. I've got stuff lying around that I really don't need/use, so I'm selling some things!
I'm posting this in a couple of places, but I'll be sure to keep the lists up-to-date. I'm also willing to negotiate any prices. If I find more stuff, I'll add it. <3

How many breeds can you name in 10 minutes?
( Round one )
Five minutes of study + five minute break, and...
( Round two )
I missed several really easy ones there, including some that I got the first time around, and I'm pissed at myself for it. >> I think I'll try again tomorrow. The game isn't perfect ("miniature siberan husky?" seriously? "toy bulldog?" nuh uh, thx) but it's still pretty fun.
Moar:

8/10 here
18/20 here
9/10 here - missed #5, freakin toy breeds >|
24/25 here
25/25 here \o/

One year ago today, I got the silliest, most ridiculous dog in the world.

He wasn't my first choice. There was Cosmo, the kelpie mix in Longmont. He had already been adopted. Then there was Tanner, another Brittany from NBRAN. When I put in an application to the rescue, it was with Tanner in mind. He was adorable, and his bio sounded perfect. I was really disappointed when I got an email saying that he had been adopted during the time it took to process my application. "We have another dog that might work. His name is Draco. Would you be interested in meeting him?"
I wasn't totally convinced - his bio was more focused on his flaws than his virtues. I don't have it saved (I wish it did) but it was only about a paragraph long and a few sentences were about how he liked to eat inedible things like fleece dog beds. But whatever, I was willing to give it a shot, so his foster mom (who happens to be one of the directors for the Skyline Brittany Club) brought him over.
They came in and I sat down on the couch. He hopped up right next to me and about five minutes later I knew that he was mine. :D
And yes, he's eaten plenty of things that are not meant to be eaten. Oh, Rowan.

5 Things You (Probably) Didn't Know About Nev
1) I hate centipedes and millipedes. Just seeing a picture of one freaks me out. D:
2) My real name is Kendall. I'm equally cool with being called Kendall or Nev.
3) In addition to my two dogs, I have a cat and two rats - Rosie, Juliet and Claire, respectively.
4) My dream is to have a small house on several acres in Vermont. Colorado is acceptable, too.
5) I have two brothers. One is 26, the other is 6.
Less than one month until I'm 18! I'm excited. Not being a minor anymore won't really make a difference in my life, but it's still kind of cool. Also, Mackenzie will be visiting over my birthday. 8D!! I plan on dragging her to the Aurora meet on the 27th. Oh, such fun times will be had.
The Flatirons Kennel Club show is this weekend. It kind of snuck up on me, so now I'm trying to get my shit together and figure out what day to go, when I need to get there, all of that stuff.
( list for self )
If anyone wants to meet me there later in the day, let me know. :3 Somehow I doubt anyone else wants to drag themselves all the way out to Longmont that early in the morning. The schedule is here if anyone is interested.

fuuuck. One day is all it takes to remind me why I was so desperate to leave in the first place. We hit Oklahoma and - surprise! - 64% humidity. All the way to Texas. I was not made for the heat, especially not heat with humidity. ): Then the first night there (Saturday) sucked, because I was supposed to see Mackenzie but found out after arriving that she unexpectedly had to go to a different city to visit family that night.
Saturday was, um, wow. We went and had lunch with some friends. I tried fried alligator, and it wasdelicious okay. It actually does taste a lot like chicken, but kind of, I dunno, dry in comparison. Not bad, but not something I'd go out of my way for, as I'm not crazy about chicken to begin with.
I went over to Mackenzie's at about 3 and we talked for a bit and then went to Stonebriar, a mall in Plano. It was awesome. :D I texted Trin while there to wish her happy birthday and mentioned where I was, and she said hey, I was thinking about going to Stonebriar, and now I have incentive, be there soon! I've only met her once IRL, also with Mackenzie there actually, so we went into a weird little toy store while we waited. Eventually we started looking at items next to the cash register and the girl behind the cash register asked if we wanted jobs, which turned into a conversation. We left and I got another text from Trin asking where we were, so I told her just leaving (whatever the place was called.) "Was the cashier an indie-looking chick with black hair?" "Uh, yeah." "Yeah, that's Slater, good friend of mine." Small world! Well, not really, I guess, since Trin does live in Plano and all...
We went over to B&N to meet Trin and then she texted me saying that she was over at the toy store and we must've crossed paths. >>; Eventually we met up, talked for a bit, looked at books, and then Mackenzie and Trin started talking about work. Mackenzie mentioned that she worked at the movie theater and Trin said oh, yeah, I was just hired at one... which theater? Same one. Mackenzie just quit but they talked about the employees there and shit. I totally forgot - Trin had told me about her interview (and then getting hired), and I knew Mackenzie worked there, I just didn't put the two together. Mackenzie told her to avoid this one girl who has been our ~arch enemy~ since 7th grade, and apparently Trin has heard rumors about her being, you know, a bitch. Which we confirmed. It's so weird to know that Trin, who I met online (at SoA, in fact), has heard rumors about one of the few people in the world I can't stand.
Uhhh, let's see. Later that evening we went over to Mackenzie's boyfriend's house to borrow Fable II, because Fable used to be my favorite game but I have no XBox. He wasn't there so his mom got it for us, and when we opened the door to leave, a bird flew in. It was a little gray bird, not sure what kind, and it took about 15 minutes to catch it. The only reason we did catch it was because it flew into the fan and died. :/ Poor little guy.
We spent the rest of the night being dumbasses in lieu of really playing Fable II. I haven't laughed so hard, for so long, in a long time. Probably since I last saw Mackenzie, idk. I finally went home at 5 AM and went to bed, and the only reason for that was that we were so physically tired from laughing so hard that we couldn't do it any longer.
In other news, I found some American show-line GSDs that I actually like. Amazing! Keystone German Shepherds breeds pretty moderate dogs with back ends that are actually normal. The stack pictures - the dog's hocks aren't actually touching the ground. The leg is stretched forward, but they aren't built to do that... if that makes sense.
